Carruthers in to join elite band of bowlers

The 44-year-old seam bowler has achieved the feat in 19 seasons and is the 16th player to have reached the landmark.

Carruthers now has 1,001 wickets to his name after taking 3-28 as Yeadon were bowled out for 73 in reply to Hanging Heaton’s 181-7, in which Ben Elvidge made 47 against his old club and Nick Connolly (40).
